Compare

Description

Muscadine, the thick-skinned Southern grape, pressed musky and deep — rounder and stranger than anything off a grocery shelf. Set into a bronze-purple jelly, it’s the one you can’t quite place and don’t forget. Smear it with cream cheese on crackers, spoon it over pork or game, stir it into a vinaigrette, or build the most interesting PB&J your kitchen has ever produced. Round, musky, a little mysterious — no candy-grape fakeness anywhere near it. The kids grab it; the adults quietly finish the jar.

Ingredients

Muscadine grape juice and purée, cane sugar, fruit pectin, water, lemon juice, citric acid.

Allergen Information

No major allergens. Produced in a facility that also handles milk, eggs, wheat, soy, tree nuts, peanuts, and sesame.

Storage

Store sealed at room temperature, 60–75°F (16–24°C), out of direct light and heat. Best within 12 months of the jar date unopened. Travel-stable, festival-stable, coat-pocket-stable. Once opened, refrigerate at 38–40°F and finish within 21 days. Do not freeze. The glass cut goes dull and the suspension weeps on thaw. On the 6 oz jar, the wax seal is not decoration. Break it once, then eat through the jar. Deep-purple stainer. Keep the lid true and the toast close.

Dietary

Vegan. Vegetarian. Gluten-free. Dairy-free. Non-GMO. No artificial colors. No high-fructose corn syrup. Makgeolli is a flavor note from a food-grade essence and contains no alcohol.

Sustainability

Clear glass jars, recyclable and built for a second life as a drinking glass or candle vessel. Matte cocoa steel lids, recyclable. Food-grade turquoise foil labels; the 8 oz wax seal is a food-safe paraffin-soy blend. Fruit from regional growers and no-added-sugar frozen-fruit partners; food-grade, non-GMO citric acid. No artificial colors. No high-fructose corn syrup. The color is the fruit.
