Salted-caramel bar cut like a gem, snaps into ten amber shards that go from sweet to watchful fast.

Compare

Description

Breaks into roughly ten amber shards along the ridges, each one glossy as a bribe. Caramel cooked low and slow, cold-smoked salt laid across it, a burnt-sugar crackle, and a whiskey-barrel warmth that’s all flavor and zero proof. Snap a shard into hot coffee and let the salt bloom as it melts, break one over vanilla ice cream, or tuck the bar into a stocking for someone who pretends they don’t have a sweet tooth. First shard is friendly. By the third you’ll have stopped counting, which was always the arrangement.

Ingredients

Milk chocolate couverture (sugar, milk, cocoa butter, cacao, sunflower lecithin), doce de leite (condensed milk, sugar), dalgona toffee shard (sugar, baking soda), brown butter, cold-smoked hickory salt, whiskey flavoring, bourbon-vanilla flavoring.

Allergen Information

Contains milk. Produced on equipment shared with soy, wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, and sesame.

Storage

Store sealed at 60–68°F (16–20°C), somewhere cool, dry, and out of the light. Best within 30 days. Once you've opened it, ten to fourteen days. Do not refrigerate — the bar sweats and the facets lose their gloss. Do not freeze. Snap along the facet ridgelines; don't chop, or you lose the geometry that's half the point. Fold the sleeve closed between encounters. The caramel swirl stays soft — do not refrigerate to firm it, or the bar sweats.

Dietary

Vegetarian. Gluten-free. Non-GMO. No artificial colors. No high-fructose corn syrup. Contains dairy. Not vegan. Not kosher-certified. Alcohol-free — whiskey and bourbon are flavor notes from food-grade extracts.

Sustainability

Matte cocoa slide sleeve over a compostable inner fold, printed on FSC-certified board with soy-based inks and water-based coatings. Turquoise foil stamping is food-grade and aluminum-free where the supplier offers it. Couverture sourced Direct Trade and Rainforest Alliance, single-origin Bahia where the flavor calls for it. Dairy from regional farms within a 250-mile radius wherever the season allows. No artificial colors — the color you see is cocoa, caramel, fruit, or nut doing the work. No high-fructose corn syrup. No palm oil in the base couverture. No pretzels anywhere in the line. Doce de leite cooked down in-house from condensed milk and sugar; whiskey lives in essence quantities.

  1. Marcus T. –

Salted caramel that actually tastes cooked, not just sweet. The smoked salt sneaks up on you. Easiest reorder of my fall.

  2. Hana K. –

Honestly expected candy and got something grown-up instead. The burnt-sugar edge keeps it from being cloying. Buying more before the holidays.

  3. Seamus B. –

Found this at a fall market and came home and ordered three more. That burnt-sugar edge is unreal. Instant staple.

  4. Sinead O. –

My gran kept Baileys and caramel in the house every Christmas and this tastes like that memory. The warm finish got me. Loved it.

  5. Jamal W. –

Snapped one at the bus stop in the cold and it made the wait worth it. The caramel is seriously comforting. Five stars.

  6. Rafael M. –

First cold morning of the season and I snapped a shard into my coffee. Melted into something I did not want to share. Twelve-bar box next time, no question.

  7. Tyler B. –

Not gonna lie, the whiskey warmth caught me off guard in the best way. Zero booze but it tastes like a fireside. Worth every penny.

  8. Sohee L. –

Caramel done the way my halmeoni liked it, barely sweet and all about the toasty part. I did not expect to feel seen by a candy bar. I do.

  9. Nolan H. –

Picked it up on a chilly lunch break and it made the gray day better. Smoky, sweet, satisfying. Easy five.

  10. Tatiana M. –

A bit sweet on the first shard but by the third the smoke takes over and I was sold. Weird arc, great bar. Might rebuy.

  11. Niamh D. –

Cracked a piece off during a rainy Tuesday and felt rich for ten minutes. Caramel and a little smoke, nothing fake about it. Already planning the six-pack.

  12. Jordan P. –

Picked one up on a whim before a long drive. Gone by the second exit. Smooth caramel, clean finish, no regrets.

  13. Garrett M. –

Snapped a shard into my late-night tea and the whole kitchen smelled like warm caramel. Cozy in a bar. Reordering.

  14. Aditi S. –

Caramel with actual depth instead of just sugar. The smoked salt is the secret weapon. Already on my reorder list.

  15. Connor D. –

Bought this for a cozy night in and it delivered. Buttery caramel with a whisper of smoke. Adding to my regular order.

  16. Beatriz S. –

The doce de leite note took me straight back to my grandmother’s kitchen in Minas. I did not expect to tear up over a chocolate bar, but here we are. That meant more than I can say.

  17. Minjun L. –

Dalgona flavor done right, which almost never happens outside a Seoul café. The restraint on the sweetness is the whole trick. Felt like home in a wrapper.

  18. Camille R. –

Good bar, a bit rich for one sitting. I rationed it over three nights and that was smart. Might get the six-pack.

  19. Trent B. –

Nice bar but I think I preferred a darker chocolate base. Caramel is great though. Might come back for a different one.

  20. Seoyeon H. –

The gem shape is gorgeous and the flavor backs it up. Caramel that lingers warm after. Big box for the holidays, done.

  21. Aoife R. –

Leaves are turning here and this is exactly the treat that fits the mood. Toasty, salty, a little mysterious. Full marks from me.

  22. Ashley N. –

Decent bar, just a touch sweeter than I like. The smoke saves it though. Might grab one again when the weather turns colder.

  23. Wanda E. –

First fall storm knocked the power out and this made the candlelight bearable. Smoky caramel by flashlight, honestly elite. Buying more.

  24. Jisoo H. –

Dalgona crackle in a chocolate bar, who thought of this? Genius. Tastes like the coffee foam trend but better. Repeat buyer.

  25. Blake R. –

Caramel done low and slow, you can taste the patience. The smoked salt keeps it from tipping into too much. Repeat for sure.

  26. Diego V. –

Shards really do snap clean along those ridges. Tastes like burnt-sugar candy my abuela would make but fancier. Big box, bring it on.

  27. Brandon K. –

Broke a shard over vanilla ice cream like the wrapper suggested. Game over for my willpower. Smoky, buttery, perfect.

  28. Pedro H. –

The way the salt blooms in hot coffee is witchcraft. I have made this a morning ritual. Dangerously easy to keep buying.

  29. Derek M. –

Snapped a piece during the first football Sunday of real fall and it beat the wings. Smoky caramel is undefeated. Box ordered.

  30. Aine K. –

Grabbed one before the leaf-peeping drive and it set the whole mood. Warm and a little smoky, just like the season. Loved every bite.

  31. Soojin H. –

My husband hid the six-pack from me. That is how I know it is good. Caramel with a real backbone.

  32. Cillian F. –

Got the single bar to test the waters. Lasted one sitting. The salt-to-caramel balance is the best I have had all year.

  33. Jenna T. –

Expected generic chocolate, got a real caramel with a smoke finish. Pleasant surprise. Will grab the box next.

  34. Juliana R. –

Warm barrel note with zero booze is exactly what I needed. Tastes indulgent and I can have it anytime. Fan.

  35. Victor L. –

Not bad, but the caramel got a little lost against the chocolate for me. Still ate it happily. Might try the darker flavors.

  36. Fernanda C. –

Whoever L. A. Walton is, she clearly tastes everything twice before it ships. This does not taste mass-made. Impressed.

  37. Nokose B. –

Caramel this deep usually comes with a candy-shop headache. Not this. Clean, warm, done. Reordered already.

  38. Liam C. –

Warm, buttery, and gone too fast. The single bar is a tease. Twelve-pack is the only sensible choice.

  39. Eamon K. –

Bought the twelve-pack thinking it would last a month. It lasted nine days. The caramel is that good. No complaints, only shame.

  40. Haruki T. –

Shard in hot coffee, feet up, rain outside. This bar understood the assignment. Easy reorder.

  41. Yejin P. –

Cozy season starter right here. Snapped it into hot cocoa and the salt bloomed like magic. Northern winters just got better.

  42. Lucas A. –

Tried this after hearing a friend rave and now I owe her. The burnt-sugar crackle is addictive. Buying the twelve-pack for the holidays.

  43. Haeun J. –

Tried a shard in warm milk for my kid and ended up making one for myself. Smooth and toasty. We both approve.

  44. Sandra P. –

Good flavor, slightly waxy snap on mine, maybe a warm shipment. Taste was still lovely. Would reorder in cooler months.

  45. Vitoria N. –

My Brazilian mother approved, which never happens with store sweets. The doce de leite note is the real deal. We are both fans now.

  46. Megan W. –

Sweet tooth officially satisfied and I did not even finish the bar. A little goes a long way. That is a compliment.

  47. Carlos R. –

The salted-caramel is good but the bar softened a bit in the mail down here. Still ate the whole thing. Order when it is cooler, I guess.

  48. Dustin R. –

Honestly a little sweet for me but the smoked salt pulls it back from the edge. Finished it anyway. Fair for the price.

  49. Chula W. –

This belongs next to the coffee maker permanently. One shard, one mug, perfect fall morning. Reordering the big box.

  50. Sean M. –

Warm barrel flavor without the hangover, sign me up. Tastes like a treat you should not be allowed to have on a Tuesday. Buying the box.

  51. Saoirse M. –

Rainy fall night, one shard, hot coffee. That is the whole review. Ten out of ten.

  52. Natalie G. –

Snapped a corner off at my desk and forgot what I was working on. Smoky caramel is dangerous during deadlines. Will absolutely rebuy.

  53. Mariana V. –

Caramel like the brigadeiro afternoons of my childhood, but smokier and more grown. It hit a soft spot I forgot I had. Thank you for this.

  54. Caio F. –

Took a gamble on a brand I never heard of and won. The burnt-sugar finish is memorable. L. A. Walton knows her craft.

  55. Hyejin C. –

The six-pack is the sweet spot, enough to share and still hoard. The caramel smoke keeps surprising me. Easy repeat.

  56. Dohyun S. –

Reminds me of the less-sweet desserts I grew up with in Busan. Finally a caramel that knows when to stop. It genuinely made my week.

  57. Trevor L. –

Good, not life-changing. The caramel is lovely but I wanted a hair more salt. Three bars in, still deciding.

  58. Jordan K. –

Snapped it at my work-from-home desk and productivity dropped to zero. Worth it. The burnt-sugar note is the star.

  59. Roisin M. –

Crisp walk, warm bar, happy me. The smoke and caramel balance is just right for October. Buying again soon.

  60. Pauline G. –

A little too sweet for my taste but my teenagers inhaled it. The smoke is a nice touch. Will likely grab more for them.

  61. Sofia C. –

Grabbed a single bar to try and now the six-pack is in my cart. Smooth caramel with a smoke that lingers just right. Converted.

  62. Padraig O. –

Big box arrived just before the first frost and I have no complaints. Each shard feels like a small heist. Keeping these stocked all winter.

  63. Logan H. –

Bought it as a gift and immediately regretted the generosity. Kept half. The caramel has this slow smoky finish that lingers.

  64. Orla F. –

Cold snap arrived and so did this box. Perfect timing. Each shard is a little warm escape. Reordering already.

  65. Wesley T. –

Honestly the single bar is the perfect size for a weeknight treat. Rich enough that you do not need more. Great value.

  66. Everett B. –

Caramel with a smoky edge and a warm finish, exactly my kind of thing. Cold weather made it even better. Stocked for the season.

  67. Isabela F. –

That barrel warmth with no alcohol is a neat trick and it works. Tastes like a nightcap you can have at 3pm. Fan for life.

  68. Brendan K. –

Crisp evening on the porch and this did all the heavy lifting. Rich without being heavy. Perfect fall find.

  69. Cody B. –

Decent, honestly. The caramel is nice but I wanted the smoke louder. Three stars, might try a different flavor.

  70. Bohyun L. –

First time trying anything from this brand and I am stunned. The caramel tastes slow-cooked, not poured from a jug. Hooked.

  71. Nayeon K. –

First real cold front rolled through and this bar felt like a hug. The burnt-sugar note is unforgettable. Repeat customer locked.

  72. Nari C. –

First bite is friendly, third bite you are committed. The wrapper warned me and I did not listen. Six-pack ordered.

  73. Chloe M. –

Shipped fast, snapped clean, tasted like a reward. The smoke keeps the sweet in check. Repeat customer now.

  74. Ingrid S. –

This is what L. A. Walton does best, apparently, flavors you cannot quite find anywhere else. The barrel warmth is unreal. Fully converted.

  75. Grace A. –

Smoky, buttery, a little dangerous after dark. I blame the bar, not my willpower. Twelve-pack incoming.

  76. Grant W. –

Perfect little luxury for a cold, early-dark evening. Rich without being too much. Keeping these around all winter.

  77. Gabriel P. –

Caramel from my childhood in São Paulo, basically, but dressed up. The doce de leite note is spot on. So glad this exists.

  78. Shawn V. –

Dangerously delicious is not just marketing here. I lost a whole evening to this and a mug of coffee. No notes.

  79. Taeyang P. –

Six-pack landed and I portioned it like a dragon with gold. The smoky caramel deserves the hoarding. No regrets.

  80. Felipe C. –

The salt and the burnt sugar fight a little and I am here for the drama. Best bar I have tried this autumn. Reorder yes.

  81. Hvtke B. –

The caramel reminds me of the burnt-sugar sweets my Muscogee aunties brought to gatherings. Felt like a thread back home. That is rare and I loved it.

  82. Priya D. –

A little pricey for one small bar, honestly. But the flavor is real and the smoke is lovely. Probably splurge again.

  83. Maeve S. –

Grabbed this at the tail end of a brutal week. Smoky-sweet and gone in minutes. Exactly what October nights call for.

  84. Kayla M. –

Brought one on a hike as a reward and ate it at the trailhead instead. Impatient but happy. Rich and smoky and great.

  85. Maureen D. –

Shared this with my book club and lost all my shards. The caramel converted the whole table. Ordering boxes for everyone.

  86. Hyun J. –

The gem-cut look makes it feel special before you even taste it. Then the caramel earns the packaging. Twelve-bar box, here I come.

  87. Austin P. –

Solid caramel, nice smoke, slightly too sweet by the last shard. Still finished it. Would consider the six-pack on a cold day.

  88. Declan P. –

Crisp October evening and a shard in my bourbon-less nightcap. The warmth is all flavor and it is lovely. Buying the big box.

  89. Brett H. –

Decent treat, just not sure it is worth the splurge over my usual. Caramel is nice, smoke is subtle. Three and a half if I could.

  90. Owen F. –

Cozy, smoky, and a little addictive, which the wrapper did warn me about. I should have believed it. Reordering before I run out.

  91. Chebon H. –

My Muskogee grandmother made a burnt-sugar candy that this quietly echoes. Did not expect that from a modern bar. It stayed with me.

  92. Finn B. –

Snuck one into the movie theater and it beat the popcorn by a mile. Warm, buttery, a little smoky. Sold.

  93. Minseo K. –

Caramel that respects a Korean palate, meaning it does not drown you in sugar. Felt like a nod to home. That mattered to me.

  94. Jaeho S. –

Tastes like the barely-sweet desserts from back home in Korea, where restraint is the whole point. It genuinely touched me. This one stays in rotation.

  95. Hank P. –

Tore into a shard while out buying trick-or-treat candy and ate it right in the aisle. Pure caramel joy, zero regret. Grabbing the big box next.

  96. Larissa O. –

Perfect with the first real cup of hot cider this season. The salt makes the caramel sing. Stocking up before the holidays.

  97. Vanessa C. –

Ordered the twelve-bar box for the office and it vanished before noon. People kept asking where I got it. L. A. Walton has a hit.

  98. Hollis R. –

A touch sweet but the smoke and that burnt-sugar crackle keep it interesting. Finished faster than I planned. Maybe a repeat.

  99. Keira B. –

Dropped a shard in my cocoa during the first snow flurry and it was pure comfort. Smoky caramel for cold nights. Stocked up.

  100. Marisol V. –

The flavor is lovely but mine arrived a touch soft from the heat. Taste saved it. I will order when fall actually cools down here.

  101. Mathieu T. –

Thanksgiving weekend up here and this was on the dessert table instead of pie. No one complained. Easy win.

  102. Jiwoo K. –

Less sugary than I feared, which is the highest praise I give a caramel. Tastes like the dalgona my mom whipped up. Means the world.

  103. Melanie F. –

Cute idea, decent bar. The caramel is good but melted a little on my warm porch. Keeping it in the pantry next time.

  104. Fiona D. –

Shards glossy as a payoff, name checks out. Snapped one into cocoa and the salt did a slow bloom. Stocking up for winter.

  105. Gustavo A. –

Caramel this good should come with a warning, and apparently it does. Dangerously delicious, no lies. Big box for winter.

  106. Keon L. –

You can tell this was built by someone obsessed with getting flavor right. Not a factory bar at all. L. A. Walton earned the reorder.

  107. Ronan G. –

Chilly morning, hot coffee, one amber shard dropped in. The salt woke the whole mug up. Buying again before winter.

  108. Eunwoo N. –

Kept a bar in my bag for the cold walk to class and it saved me twice. Smoky caramel is a good coat. A new favorite.

  109. Bruno M. –

Got this for a quiet Sunday and it upgraded the whole afternoon. Buttery caramel, clean smoke, no fake aftertaste. Reorder locked in.

  110. Olivia F. –

Solid, not spectacular for me, but my partner adores it. The smoke is nice. We will probably reorder for them.

  111. Bridget C. –

Caramel, smoke, and a warm whiskey-barrel ghost with no booze. Clever and delicious. Autumn staple now.

  112. Thiago B. –

This tastes like someone actually cared. The burnt-sugar snap is unlike any store bark I have tried. Repeat order placed.

  113. Mason D. –

Shards look like amber and taste like trouble. Snapped one over ice cream and lost my mind a little. Big box ordered.

  114. Luis T. –

The bar sweated a little in our island heat but the flavor held up. Smoky caramel is worth the mild mess. Will time it for cooler weeks.

  115. Tecumseh L. –

Gifted a six-pack to my dad who claims he hates sweets. He finished it in two days. The caramel broke him.

  116. Marcelo D. –

Shards snap like glass and taste like a reward you did not earn. I keep earning it anyway. Twelve-pack, no hesitation.

  117. Clodagh W. –

Not too sweet, not too salty, just right for a crisp afternoon. The whiskey-barrel note is sneaky good. Will reorder.

  118. Renata L. –

Bought for the kids, finished it myself after they went to bed. The caramel has a grown-up smoke to it. No shame.

  119. Ellie W. –

Simple, honest, delicious. The caramel does not try too hard and that is why it works. Grabbing the six-pack.

  120. Yuna P. –

Warm, smoky, and the finish just hangs around like a good conversation. Perfect for sweater weather. Reordering now.

  121. Danielle R. –

Honest take: good bar, mild smoke, slightly sweet. Pleasant but I expected more punch. Might revisit in winter.
