Description

Snaps along the facet ridges into about ten shards, each one near-black and serious. Triple cocoa over deep single-origin cacao, smoked nibs, a stout-dark malt roast (no alcohol, just the dark), and a slow chili whisper that waits until after you swallow to make its point. Black lava salt closes it. Drop a shard into hot coffee or a mug of Liquid Assets and let it melt on purpose, break one over vanilla ice cream so it seizes against the cold, or share the bar with someone whose nerve you want to test. Reads bitter going in, ends warm going down. Ten shards, and the last one never tastes like a mistake.

Storage

Store sealed at 60–68°F (16–20°C), somewhere cool, dry, and out of the light. Best within 30 days. Once you've opened it, ten to fourteen days. Do not refrigerate — the bar sweats and the facets lose their gloss. Do not freeze. Snap along the facet ridgelines; don't chop, or you lose the geometry that's half the point. Fold the sleeve closed between encounters. Reads matte when cool; surface gloss means it warmed past 70°F — put it back in a cool drawer.
