Salted-caramel hexagon with a glassy burnt-sugar shard baked in, cold-smoked salt. Two snaps in one bite.

Compare

Description

Salted caramel dusted over the top, a shard of burnt sugar baked right in so it goes glassy and amber, and cold-smoked salt to keep the sweet from running the table. You get two snaps out of it, the cracker and the sugar, which is more drama than most desserts earn. Cut to lock with The Payoff. Lay it over a caramel gelato, stand it up in a mousse like a flag, or hand one to somebody and watch them clock the smoke on the finish. Bite down, collect in full.

Ingredients

Wheat flour, cultured butter, cane sugar, doce de leite (condensed milk, sugar), dalgona toffee shard (sugar, baking soda), egg, toasted soybean flour, cold-smoked hickory salt, whiskey flavoring, sea salt.

Allergen Information

Contains wheat, milk, soy, and egg. Produced on equipment shared with tree nuts, peanuts, and sesame.

Storage

Store sealed at room temperature, 60–72°F, somewhere dry and out of direct light. Best within 45 days sealed; once you've opened the sleeve, 10 to 14 days before the snap goes soft. Fold the sleeve closed and keep it away from steam — a Snap that caught humidity bends instead of breaking, and the break is half the point. Do not refrigerate (the fridge is a humidity trap and the cracker turns leathery). Do not freeze. If one ever softens, five minutes in a 300°F oven brings the snap back. The dalgona shard stays glassy while sealed; a tacky surface means it caught humidity — re-crisp five minutes at 300°F.

Dietary

Vegetarian. Non-GMO. No artificial colors. No high-fructose corn syrup. Contains wheat, dairy, soy, and egg. Not vegan. Not gluten-free. Not kosher-certified. Alcohol-free — whiskey is a flavor note from a food-grade extract.

Sustainability

Slim cocoa sleeves printed on FSC-certified board with soy-based inks and water-based coatings; the box SKUs use the same matte cocoa window stock as the rest of the line. Turquoise foil stamping is food-grade and aluminum-free where the supplier offers it. Cultured butter from regional dairy partners within a 250-mile radius wherever the season allows. Flour milled domestically; toasted soybean flour milled in-house. No artificial colors — every tint you see is cocoa, cinnamon, fruit powder, or toasted nut doing the work. No high-fructose corn syrup. No palm oil. No pretzels anywhere in the line. Sugar, butter, and condensed milk carry it; the dalgona crackle reads expensive and costs air. Whiskey in essence quantities.

  1. Kayleigh N. –

Enjoyable with reservations. Nice crunch, but the sweetness edges out the smoke.

  2. Ximena R. –

These broke clean and tasted even better than they look. The crackle keeps surprising me three crackers in.

  3. Yeji R. –

Broke one into warm milk for my kid and ended up making my own. Bookmarked and reordering on repeat.

  4. Cillian N. –

Dropped one into warm cider and watched the salt bloom. Showed up on the dessert table over Thanksgiving and nobody missed the pie.

  5. Jamal N. –

Threw a six in the cart and have no notes. A sweet little taste of mainland fall down here on the island.

  6. Grace Z. –

Six sounded like plenty right up until it wasn’t. There’s a toasty edge under the sweet that I keep chasing. A warm snap on a grey Prairie afternoon, exactly right.

  7. Suyeon C. –

Glad I tried it, in all honesty. Good cracker, just a touch sweeter than I’d like.

  8. Brandon K. –

Salted caramel on a cracker that actually breaks the way it should. Shipped down here intact, and the crack was still loud as ever.

  9. Dustin G. –

Perfectly good, with a small reservation. Snaps great, melted a touch in transit though.

  10. Hyunwoo Q. –

Expected sweet, got sweet-then-smoke-then-crunch, overdelivered. It’s loud, in the best possible cracker way. Only L. A. Walton could make a cracker this odd and this good.

  11. Carlos A. –

Three and a half, if the scale allowed. The flavor’s lovely, I only wish the box held more. I’ll circle back when the weather turns.

  12. Sandra K. –

Solid if unspectacular, no shame in that. Good texture, slightly too sweet on the finish.

  13. Winona B. –

Half of these became dessert and half became a problem. It’s the rare treat that’s as fun to break as it is to eat.

  14. Omar W. –

Dipped one in cocoa and lost my train of thought.

  15. Ahyoka C. –

Pretty solid overall. Crisp and pretty, just a little one-note for me. Could see myself rebuying come winter.

  16. Grant P. –

That first snap is the whole sell. The sweet-salt swing lands perfectly every single time. Fall finally arrived and so did my new favorite cracker.

  17. Oisin Z. –

Tried to save some for later; later arrived in eleven minutes. Sweet on the front, smoky on the way out. Cool evening, warm caramel, loud crunch, perfect timing.

  18. Brett V. –

Bought these for a party and quietly hid half for myself. Tasting that toasted-soybean warmth under the caramel was a small trip back to Seoul.

  19. Seojin T. –

Picked these up before a long drive and regretted nothing. Smoky, buttery, and gone faster than I meant. Leaves are turning here and it fit the mood perfectly.

  20. Megan D. –

Right in my acceptable range. Fine flavor, a couple came a little chipped. Good for sharing, less so for obsessing.

  21. Vinicius L. –

Been describing the crunch to strangers, which is a personal low and high.

  22. Chantal V. –

Ordered these half-expecting a letdown and got the opposite. Twelve crackers and I still rationed them.

  23. Nabi S. –

Cracked one clean in half and it rang like glass. A little fall feeling on the island, caramel and crunch and all. The bigger box is happening, no debate.

  24. Garrett O. –

Decent buy, a couple of nitpicks. The hexagon is cute, the flavor is merely fine. Would gift it before I’d hoard it.

  25. Esteban Y. –

Caramel this grown-up on a cracker caught me off guard. The smoke sneaks up late and I’m fully into it. Found these at a fall market and came home to order three more.

  26. Minah P. –

Warm caramel, cold smoke, crisp snap, an easy yes.

  27. Seamus C. –

Put one over vanilla ice cream and lost all restraint.

  28. Spencer Y. –

Snapped one into my coffee and have zero regrets. Gray fall afternoon, warm caramel, zero complaints. My cart knows what it did.

  29. Siwoo T. –

They snap, they crackle, they absolutely deliver. The first chilly weekend and this was the whole plan. No notes, just reordering.

  30. Nuala E. –

Fine by my standards, honestly. Tasty enough, though I expected more punch. Might upgrade to the twelve if a second one wins me over.

  31. Monique T. –

Caramel dusted on top, glassy sugar baked in, instantly sold.

  32. Patricia E. –

Figured it would be too sweet and it read exactly right.

  33. Mekko N. –

Had one with afternoon tea and upgraded the entire hour. Crunchy, salty, and surprisingly grown-up for a cracker. First real frost rolled in right as the box landed.

  34. Padraig A. –

Took one to a potluck and came home an evangelist. The burnt-sugar snap is easily the best part. The burnt-sugar bite pulled me back to the brigadeiro afternoons of my childhood.

  35. Carmen N. –

Respectable, if not remarkable. Nice treat, the price is the only sticking point. Might try a different flavor next time.

  36. Deshawn M. –

Laid one over caramel gelato like the sleeve suggested. Signing up for the subscription if they ever offer one.

  37. Dohan Z. –

Snapped one over a scoop of caramel gelato and understood the hype. Adding these to the regular order.

  38. Genevieve S. –

Honest take here. The salt is lovely, the price gives me pause. A maybe-repeat, honestly.

  39. Deshawn S. –

Fine cracker, a couple of notes. Good flavor, I just wanted the shard to be bigger. Worth a try if you like it on the sweeter side.

  40. Everett T. –

My willpower filed a complaint after the second cracker. The contrast of crisp cracker and shattering sugar is the whole point. My Muscogee grandmother made a burnt-sugar candy this cracker quietly echoes, it stayed with me.

  41. Ellie V. –

Grabbed a box for a quiet night and it carried the whole evening. First cold morning of the season and this was exactly the move. Twelve crackers are already in the cart.

  42. Nuala O. –

Opened the box at my desk and coworkers materialized out of nowhere. The toffee note runs deeper than the price suggests. October nights were made for this exact crunch.

  43. Sequoyah J. –

Cracked one on the first chilly night and felt set for the season. The burnt-sugar edge keeps the whole thing from going cloying.

  44. Jisung T. –

Liked it, didn’t love it. Pleasant, though I’m not sure it beats my usual. Would consider the six on a chilly day.

  45. Eoin P. –

Shared one with a skeptic and converted them on the spot. A little goes a long way, and I mean that kindly. The six was a tease; twelve it is.

  46. Camila R. –

These taste like someone actually cared about the snap. Grabbed these while buying trick-or-treat candy and ate one in the aisle. Back for more before the box was even empty.

  47. Marcelo H. –

Would I rave? No. Would I eat it again? Probably. The snap is fun, the caramel plays it a little safe.

  48. Vitor V. –

Middle of the road for me. Decent all around, nothing that quite floored me. Still finished the whole box, for the record.

  49. Dasom T. –

Snagged a six at a fall market and came home to order more. There’s a buttery depth here you don’t expect from something this thin. Caramel done the way my halmeoni liked it, toasty over sweet, and I felt seen by a cracker.

  50. Ronan L. –

Caramel and smoke on a cracker is a combination I didn’t know I needed.

  51. Chebon D. –

A measured four-ish, call it three. Solid treat, a few crumbs at the bottom of the sleeve.

  52. Paloma B. –

Every cracker breaks along those ridges like it was planned.

  53. Mateo S. –

The caramel-and-smoke combo reads like a dare and I took it. Every bite lands that satisfying double crack. Pumpkin everything can step aside, this is my autumn snack.

  54. Delphine N. –

Good enough to finish, not to rave. Likeable, just a hair too delicate for my taste. Might grab it again once it’s properly cold.

  55. Brett E. –

Set one upright in a pudding and it stood there looking smug. The toasty, barely-sweet side of this is deeply Korean and it quietly got to me.

  56. Jamal M. –

I came for the looks and stayed for the shatter.

  57. Rodrigo L. –

The dalgona shard inside is what makes the whole thing. The 12-count barely lasted the weekend here.

  58. Tadhg W. –

Took these to dinner and left holding an empty box.

  59. Saoirse P. –

Cracked one open on a cold porch and felt briefly rich.

  60. Pauline H. –

Pulled one out mid-deadline and everything politely stopped. The dalgona shard snaps exactly like the street candy I had as a kid in Korea, felt like home. Six-pack next time, no question.

  61. Harlan G. –

Mixed feelings, leaning positive. Nice snap, but I wanted a hair more salt. Solid middle-tier snack in my book.

  62. Bruno Z. –

Shattered the first one and immediately reached for a second. The caramel coats, the salt corrects, the sugar finishes the job. You can tell L. A. Walton obsesses over the details, this is no factory cracker.

  63. Paloma G. –

Snapped one at the bus stop in the cold and the wait got better. Not too sweet, not too salty, just right for October. Already plotting the twelve-pack.

  64. Camila P. –

Perfectly nice, with a small gripe. The caramel’s warm, though it faded faster than I hoped.

  65. Delphine F. –

Grabbed the six and completely failed to pace myself. It reads expensive and breaks even better. Consider me a regular now.

  66. Fergus M. –

A reasonable pick, not a favorite. The smoke is subtle, almost too shy for me. Probably a one-and-done for me, but no regrets.

  67. Pedro Z. –

First bite is friendly, then the salt shows up to collect. Clean break, warm finish, no fake aftertaste anywhere. Started with six and regretted the restraint.

  68. Cody Z. –

Snapped one before a long meeting and it was the best decision of the day. The two-snap thing genuinely happens in a single bite.

  69. Priya M. –

Set a few out on a dessert board and they vanished. Full twelve next time, I’ve learned my lesson.

  70. Nabi H. –

Two snaps in one bite turned out to be no gimmick.

  71. Sinead L. –

It’s a yes with an asterisk. Enjoyable, just richer than I usually go for. A pleasant maybe, leaning toward yes.

  72. Yerin C. –

Decent, not a knockout. Lovely idea, the size left me wanting more.

  73. Doha J. –

Snuck one into a movie and it beat the popcorn by a mile. The low smoke tastes like the smoked traditions I was raised on back home in Muscogee country. Grabbing the bigger box next round.

  74. Javier O. –

Bit into one expecting a cookie and got a tiny fireworks show. Buttery caramel with a low whisper of smoke underneath. Crisp October evening on the porch, it did the heavy lifting.

  75. Riley S. –

Took one bite and texted three people about it.

  76. Patricia V. –

Tried the six first and I’m already eyeing the twelve. Held up fine in the island warmth, snap and all.

  77. Imani E. –

Worth a try, a few quibbles. Pleasant snap, the finish is shorter than I’d like. I’d order again for the right occasion.

  78. Sinead Q. –

One snapped clean in my coffee and the salt woke the whole mug up. Went straight for the twelve and it still vanished.

  79. Bridget G. –

The first crack got my attention; the smoke on the finish kept it. Barely sweet, all crackle, exactly my kind of thing. Hats off to the founder, L. A. Walton, this is a genuinely original little thing.

  80. Aine V. –

Took a bite expecting sweet and got sweet plus smoke plus crunch. The big box is the move, trust me.

  81. Bruna Q. –

Good showing, a couple of small misses. Tasty, though one arrived a little soft. Fair for what it costs.

  82. Bruno E. –

Kept one in my coat pocket and it rescued a long commute. It breaks with a sound you’ll want to repeat for an audience. L. A. Walton clearly built this around the snap, and it shows.

  83. Danielle N. –

The burnt-sugar shard baked inside is the sneaky star. The salt is restrained enough to let the caramel talk. L. A. Walton has a real gift for flavors nobody else is bothering to make.

  84. Kayleigh H. –

Smoky caramel on something that genuinely crunches, yes please. Rich without being heavy, which is the whole trick. Keeping these stocked all season.

  85. Owen Y. –

Sat down with the twelve and stood up with regret, the good kind. Perfect alongside the first hot cider of the year.

  86. Grainne N. –

Honestly did not expect a cracker to pull this off. Each one tastes a little fancier than a cracker has any right to. Someone please tell L. A. Walton this is the most original dessert I’ve had in ages.

  87. Soyeon S. –

Popped the sleeve open and the caramel smell did all the convincing.

  88. Doha G. –

Tried one standing over the sink, as nature intended. The whiskey-barrel warmth with zero booze is a clever trick. A fully committed repeat customer now.

  89. Junseo T. –

A cautious thumbs-up from me. Good but subtle, I wanted the smoke turned up.

  90. Eunbi Y. –

A dozen arrived and nine made it through the first night. The small box was a sampler and now I’m committed.

  91. Luc G. –

Cracked a corner off at the counter and the whole thing was gone by the kettle. A cozy mainland treat that travels well this far south.

  92. Garrett H. –

Broke a hexagon in half and both halves disappeared fast. The caramel melts while the sugar shard holds, lovely contrast. Already told two friends to order their own.

  93. Seojin N. –

These came out crunchier and smokier than I bargained for. Crisp the whole way through, no sad soft middle. A cold snap rolled in right as the box did, perfect timing.

  94. Chebon L. –

Crisp, salty, and a little dangerous after dark. The burnt-sugar note tastes cooked right to the edge of too far, perfectly.

  95. Opah F. –

Opened the sleeve and the smell alone reeled me in.

  96. Luana E. –

These turned a plain Wednesday into something worth remembering. The salt blooms the second it meets something warm. These are not leaving my pantry anytime soon.

  97. Brigid T. –

Standing one up in gelato is now a personal ritual. Whoever L. A. Walton is, she clearly tastes everything twice before it ships.

  98. Logan I. –

Stood one up in a mousse and briefly felt like a chef. The caramel tastes cooked, not just sweet.

  99. Noor I. –

Bought these on a whim and now I’m back reordering. The smoke is subtle but it’s doing quiet, important work. Six crackers went faster than I’ll admit.

  100. Natalie A. –

First time with this brand and the snap alone made me a believer. That smoked-salt edge keeps the sweetness in line. Snapped one during the season’s first fire and it belonged there.

  101. Cheveyo Z. –

This is the first dessert cracker I’ve reordered without thinking. Putting these on every snack run from here out.

  102. Reid H. –

Pulled a hexagon from my bag on a cold walk and it saved the morning. That caramel is the doce de leite I grew up on in Brazil, just crackly and dressed up.

  103. Rosa R. –

Clean break, warm caramel, a thread of smoke at the end. Grabbing the twelve-pack next time. Zero hesitation on the reorder.

  104. Carolina I. –

Shattered one over yogurt and ruined myself for plain snacks.

  105. Nita V. –

Served these at book club and lost every last one. That late smoke is what separates this from candy-shop stuff.

  106. Yannick Y. –

Expected a plain cookie and got a small event instead. A standing order situation, clearly.

  107. Elena K. –

Happy enough, if not head over heels. Decent crackle, the smoke could be louder for my taste. I’d give it another shot down the line.
